Wolverine Bites
• Michigan carries a 12-1 dual-meet record into Sunday's regular-season finale. With another win, the Wolverines would match its greatest single-season win total (13) since posting a 16-8 record in 2007-08. U-M went 13-3 in 2015-16. One dual loss would be the program's fewest since its back-to-back undefeated seasons in 1972-73 and 1973-74.
• U-M owns a 5-0 record in home duals this season -- with two at Crisler Center and three at Keen Arena -- and has outscored its opponents, 134-48, over those five meets. Michigan has not posted a perfect home record since the 2002-03 season when it went 6-0 in Ann Arbor.
• Michigan wrapped up its Big Ten Conference dual slate with an 8-1 conference record and finished third in the standings behind co-champions Iowa and Penn State with similar 9-0 marks. The Wolverines have posted a 15-3 record in Big Ten duals over the last two seasons. U-M similarly finished third in the regular-season standings last year.
• Michigan ranks among the nation's leaders in dual-meet scoring -- for and against -- with an average of 26.46 points scored per dual and just 11 points scored against. The Wolverines also ranked seventh nationally with a full-team winning percentage of 66.3 percent (222-121).
• Senior/junior Stevan Micic is 13-0 on the season and has earned bonus points in nine bouts, including eight of his 10 second-semester outings. He has defeated ranked opponents in five of his last seven matches, including a 3-2 decision against Rutgers' fourth-ranked Nick Suriano in his last bout (Feb. 17). Micic also earned a dominant 14-1 major decision over Ohio State's No. 6 Luke Pletcher (Jan. 25). Last year, Micic posted bonus points in 81 percent of his wins (21 of 26).
• In Micic's last home appearance, he claimed the battle of No. 1-ranked wrestlers, 10-4, when Northwestern's top-ranked 125-pounder, Sebastian Rivera, bumped up to face him on Feb. 12. Micic scored four takedowns, nearly adding another at the final buzzer, and rode for 3:20. It was Rivera's first loss of the season.
• Freshman heavyweight Mason Parris earned takedowns in the first and third periods to defeat Maryland's ninth-ranked Youssif Hemida, 6-2, last Friday (Feb. 15). It was Parris' third win over a top-10 opponent this season -- sixth over a ranked opponent -- and second over a 2018 NCAA All-American.
• Parris has faced ranked opponents in four of his last five matches. He also clinched the Wolverines' 19-17 dual win at Ohio State in the final bout, defeating No. 19 Chase Singletary, 6-3, behind two takedowns and 1:13 in riding-time advantage. With the win, Parris avenged one of his three season losses -- a 15-9 decision to Singletary in the Ohio Intercollegiate Open semifinals (Nov. 11).
• Fifth-year senior Alec Pantaleo surged back into the nation's top five at 157 pounds -- he is a consensus No. 5 -- after defeating Ohio State's then-No. 6 Ke-Shawn Hayes, 3-2, on Jan. 25. Pantaleo, who had seen limited action after missing most of the first semester with mononucleosis, has faced ranked opponents in six of his last eight bouts -- with four wins in those matches. Pantaleo took sixth place at Midlands (Dec. 29-30) at 149 pounds but returned to and will remain at 157 pounds, where he took fifth place at last season's NCAA Championships.
• Sophomore/freshman Jelani Embree has claimed three straight dual wins after dropping a narrow 5-3 decision to Penn State's No. 2 Shakur Rasheed (Feb. 1) in his first match back from injury. Embree, who missed all of January due to injury, is 12-4 on the season and 6-1 in dual meets.
• All 10 Wolverine starters are ranked nationally by at least one media outlet, including seven who are ranked within the top 10 at their respective weights. Based on their highest ranking, No. 1 Stevan Micic (133 pounds), No. 4 Myles Amine (174), No. 5 Alec Pantaleo (157), No. 5 Mason Parris (Hwt), No. 6 Kanen Storr (141) and No. 7 Logan Massa (165) lead the U-M squad.

Clarion split a pair of road duals last weekend, defeating Cleveland State (25-9, Feb. 8) before falling to Lock Haven (35-6, Feb. 10). Greg Bulsak is Clarion's lone nationally-ranked wrestler with the No. 16 slot at 197 pounds. Michigan trails in the all-time series against Clarion, 4-3, and claimed the most recent meeting, 29-15, at the 2010 Virginia Duals.
