ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan softball team's NCAA Regional final against No. 16 ranked James Madison has been postponed due to inclement weather and will be played at noon on Monday (May 20), with an "if necessary" game to immediately follow, at the Wilpon Complex, home of Alumni Field.
Michigan enters the regional finale needing to win just one to advance to the NCAA Super Regional after defeating James Madison in a 1-0, 12-inning marathon Saturday (May 18) in the winners' bracket contest. Junior third baseman Madison Uden ended the contest with a two-out RBI single in the 12th, while sophomore left-handed pitcher Meghan Beaubien allowed just five hits and two walks in a 12-strikeout complete-game shutout.
Both the noon and the "if necessary" game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
Tickets for Sunday will be valid for Monday's action. For any additional questions, please contact mtickets@umich.edu.
