
Former Wolverine Gaarenstroom Named Assistant Coach

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's gymnastics coach Kurt Golder announced the appointment of former Wolverine Jordan Gaarenstroom (2011-14) to the coaching staff in the role of assistant coach Tuesday (Aug. 27).
Gaarenstroom was a two-time NCAA team champion with Michigan, and was a lineup mainstay during his four seasons in Ann Arbor. He owns a career-best of 15.60 on still rings, a mark that he achieved at the 2013 NCAA Championships.
Since graduation, the Laguna Hills, California, native has served as boys coach at SCATS Gymnastics in Huntington Beach, California. The gym has produced numerous Wolverine greats in Sam Mikulak (2011-14), Adrian de los Angeles (2012-15) and current Wolverine standout Cameron Bock.
Gaarenstroom is a 2014 Michigan graduate with a bachelor's degree in psychology and an entrepreneurship minor.
