Wolverine Bites

Lau started all 11 events and made a 12th start with her individual invitation to the NCAA Regional in East Lansing, Michigan. She led U-M in five events last season, including four of the final five.
• U-M welcomes three freshman to the lineup this season -- Hailey Borja, Anika Dy and Mikaela Schulz. This summer Borja advanced to match play of both the USGA's Junior and U.S. Amateur Championships. Dy comes to Michigan after a stellar prep career at Traverse City West High School. She was a three-time Michigan Miss Golf, Super Team selection and Division I State medalist. Schulz, who is continuing to finish her final rehab following wrist surgery over the summer, was a three-time Michigan Super Team member and a two-time medalist runner-up at the Division finals.
• The Maize and Blue will play four tournaments in its fall season. After U-M's visit to Toledo, the Wolverines will head to Chicago to play in Northwestern's Windy City Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) at the Glenview Golf Club. U-M then heads to Chapel Hill for the fourth straight year to play in North Carolina's Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 11-13).
