
Michigan to Host Notre Dame, Bowling Green on Senior Weekend

The University of Michigan women's soccer team will play two matches at U-M Soccer Stadium this weekend. The Wolverines first will host Notre Dame on Friday (Sept. 6) at 7:30 p.m. as they Maize Out the stadium against Notre Dame in the tail end of a doubleheader with the U-M men's soccer team. Michigan then will recognize the careers of its three seniors prior to Sunday's (Sept. 8) 2 p.m. match against Bowling Green.
Series History with Notre Dame
• The Fighting Irish hold a 12-4-1 advantage in the all-time series with the Wolverines.
• Michigan has won two of the last three meetings against Notre Dame, with the Wolverines' most recent win coming in 2016.
• The Wolverines defeated then-No. 12 Notre Dame, 2-0, at U-M Soccer Stadium.
• The Fighting Irish won the first eight contests in the series before Michigan picked up two victories over Notre Dame in 2003, including a 1-0 win in the NCAA Tournament.

• Two keepers have split time this season for Notre Dame with Mattie Interian holding a perfect save percentage (1.000) as she has made four stops this season, while Brooke Littman has made five saves and allowed one goal.

• Michigan and Bowling Green have played just one time, and the Wolverines earned a 2-0 victory in that 2014 meeting.
Looking at Bowling Green
• The Falcons are 1-1-1 overall this season; their lone win came in a 2-0 win over Valparaiso.
• BGSU is narrowly outscoring its opponents, 6-5, and is averaging 14.7 shots per match.
• Maureen Kennedy and Kennedy White lead the Falcons with two goals each, while sisters Nikki and Katie Cox have one goal each.
• In goal, Kathleen Duwve has played all 290 minutes with six saves and five goals against for a .545 save percentage.
Senior Spotlights
• Brooke Cilley: Has appeared in 44 matches (27 starts). She is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and will graduate with a degree in communication.
• Jada Dayne: Played in 47 matches (46 starts) and was the 2016 Michigan Rookie of the Year. She is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and will graduate with a degree in political science
• Sura Yekka: Played in 51 matches (36 starts). She was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team and will graduate with a degree in women's studies and psychology.
Defense, Defense, Defense
• The Michigan defense has surrendered just two goals in its first four matches and has allowed only opponents to take a total of 20 shots.
• Prior to the match against Marquette, the Wolverines had given up no more than five shots per match. U-M gave up only seven shots against Marquette to mark a season-high for an opponent against Michigan.
• The Wolverines have outshot opponents, 73-20, through four complete matches.
Haakenson Finding a Way
• Sophomore Meredith Haakenson has become an offensive leader in her second year as a Wolverine.
• She is first on the team and is tied for fourth in the Big Ten with seven points.
• Haakenson has scored a team-best three goals, which is tied for second in the conference and includes a two-goal outing in the season opener against Marshall.
