Wolverines Sign Three on National Signing Day

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's gymnastics coach Bev Plocki announced Wednesday (Nov. 11) the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent: Ashley Lane (Carrollton, Texas), Abigael Vides (Spring, Texas) and Jacey Vore (Fishers, Ind.).
"We are very excited about the signing of these three extraordinary young women," said Plocki. "Each of them brings a wealth of competitive experience and will strengthen our team both in the gym and in the classroom. Their collective difficulty level and consistency in competition will help to further our goal of attaining a national championship."
Ashley Lane | Carrollton, Texas | Club: Metroplex Gymnastics
- Competes for Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, Texas
- Prepped at Spring Creek Academy
- Was the Texas State Champion in the all-around, bars, beam and floor exercise while placing third on the vault in 2018
- Won the all-around title at five different events in 2018

- Brestyans Las Vegas Invitational
- California Grand Invitational
- Alamo Classic
- Named to the Chalk Warrior 2018 Beam All-Star Team
- Placed sixth on the beam at the JO National Championships in 2018
- Earned a second-place finish on the bars and floor at the Region 3 Championships in 2018
- Placed seventh on bars and eighth on the beam at the Nastia Liukin Cup in 2018
- Earned a third-place finish on vault and a fourth-place finish on floor at both the Long Beach Invitational and the Metroplex Challenge in 2020
- Placed fourth on beam at the WOGA Classic in 2020
Abigael Vides | Spring, Texas | Club: World Champions Centre
- Competes for World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas
- Prepped at Acellus Academy
- Is a five-time regional competitor
- Competed at the JO National Championships in 2019, medaling on vault, bars, floor exercise and the all-around
- Earned the silver medal at the Regional 3 Championships on bars, beam and in the all-around
- Also earned the silver medal on vault and the all-around at the Texas State Championships in 2019
- Was a U.S. Classic Sr. 3 Event qualifier in 2019
- Participated in the 2019 American Classic and the 2019 G.K. U.S. Classic
- Plans to major in biomedical engineering
Jacey Vore | Fishers, Ind. | Club: Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center (JPAC)
- Competes for Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center (JPAC) in Greenfield, Ind.
- Prepped at Fishers High School
- Ranked the No. 1 Level 10 Gymnast in the country in the all-around
- Was the Nastia Liukin Cup All-Around runner up in 2018 and 2020
- Named one of five JO Athletes of the Year by Region 5 in 2019
- Competed at the JO National Championships two times and was a 2019 JO National Team Member
- Competed at the Region 5 Regional Gymnastics Championships three times and was a Region 5 All-Star Team Member
- Won the Region 5 Regional all-around, vault, bars and floor exercise in 2019
- Is a two-time Indiana State Champion in the all-around, on vault and floor in 2018 and 2019, while winning the bars in 2018
- Named Gymnast of the Year at JPAC in 2019
