Kim's 69 Moves Her Up Leaderboard as Michigan Improves in Mexico

» Dropping nine shots from Sunday's (Feb. 16) first-round total, Michigan posted a 293 in the second round Monday and remained 14th with a 595 total at the IJGA Collegiate Invitational in Mexico.
» Junior Ashley Kim used five birdies to post her second straight sub-par tally and second-sub 70 score of the season with a 69 (-3). She is fourth individually at 139 (-5), just three shots out of the lead.
» Freshman Mikaela Schulz used three birdies to post an even-par 72 in her second round. She is tied for 43rd with a 149 two-day total.
» To facilitate team travel, the final round will start with the first nine holes Monday before finishing up Tuesday morning.
» The 14-team field features 12 teams ranked among the top 50 in the nation.
