
Michigan Signs 20 Additional Members to Class of 2020

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan rowing program welcomed 20Â additional student-athletes to the 2020 signing class with National Letters of Intent on Wednesday (May 6).
The signing class includes: Olivia Bowen, Marisol Cassis, Bebe Deen, Olivia Dwan, Annika Ehrlacher, Kaylin Eighmey, Ainslie Evans, Alexandra Gabel, Brooke Gietzen, Anya Hedrich, Olivia Krum, Lauren Langley, Katie Lucken, Kamryn Maples, Rocky Morabito, Lauren Nemeh, Olivia Olk, Alexandria Reinert, Isabelle Sawicki, and Emma Simpson.
"Our coaching staff did a great job putting this class together," said head coach Mark Rothstein. "These student-athletes are great people and excellent students, and we are excited about what this class can accomplish. They will make valuable contributions over the next four years, and we are very glad to welcome them to our program."
These 18 student-athletes will join U-M's four winter signees as freshmen next season.

Olivia Bowen
• Attends Grandville High School in Grandville, Michigan
• Three-time academic letter recipient
• Two-year National Honor Society member, Treasurer of Kids Food Basket Club
• Won four varsity letters in rugby and four in track and field
• Daughter of Ryan Bowen and Jennifer Starr
Marisol Cassis
• Attends New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois
• Four-year honor roll, National Spanish Honor Society, Spanish language student-teacher and tutor
• Rows at New Trier, where she was a 2018-19 Midwest Rowing Association Academic Athletic Award winner and USRowing Scholastic Honor Roll Honorable Mention
• Placed fourth at Youth Nationals in Lightweight 8+ (2018)
• Won twice at Midwest Championships in Freshman 8+ (2017) and Lightweight 8+ (2018)
• Won twice at Scholastic Nationals in Freshman 8+ (2017) and 2V8+ (2018)

Bebe Deen
• Currently attends Rye High School in Rye, New York
• Competes with RowAmerica Rye as a coxswain
• Placed fourth at 2019 Club Nationals in women's 4+
• Runner-up at 2019 New York State Championships in women's lightweight 4+
• Finished second at 2019 Head of the Fish in women's lightweight 8+

Olivia Dwan
• Attends Garber High School in Essexville, Michigan
• Two-year member of the National Honor Society
• Two-year volleyball captain and one-year captain in soccer

• Three-time Bay City soccer "Dream Team" selection
• Helped lead her team to the 2019 MHSAA State Final in soccer

Annika Ehrlacher
• Attends Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

• Finished second in the U19 1x at the 2019 Independence Day Regatta
