Wolverine Bites
• The Wolverines remain unbeaten on the season with a 3-0 record and share the top spot in the Big Ten Conference standings with Iowa (5-0) and Penn State (3-0). Michigan has finished top three in the Big Ten dual-meet standings in two of the last three seasons, posting an 8-1 conference record in 2018-19 and a 7-2 mark in 2017-18.
• Michigan has won 24 of 30 matches over its opening three duals and earned bonus points in 12 -- exactly half of its wins. Sixth-year senior Logan Massa and junior Mason Parris have earned bonus in all three of their bouts at 174 pounds and heavyweight, respectively, while freshman Dylan Ragusin has posted a pair of bonus wins.
• Parris leads the Wolverines with two pins through three matches this season. He has similarly led U-M in falls in each of the last two seasons and boasted 26 pins in his career, accounting for more than 40 percent of his collegiate wins (63).
• Ragusin has earned a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents over his three matches. He pinned Rutgers' 20th-ranked Nicolas Aguilar in just 61 seconds in his collegiate debut at 125 pounds (Jan. 8) and followed with a 6-4 decision against Indiana's Brock Hudkins (Jan. 17) with a first-period takedown and 1:22 in riding-time advantage. He is 3-0 on the season.
• Ragusin is one of five Wolverine freshmen to make their collegiate debut this season. Freshman Jaden Bullock won in his dual debut against Indiana, bumping up to 184 pounds and cruising to a 15-0 technical fall, while freshman Fidel Mayora has posted a 3-0 record in extra matches at 157 pounds.
• Three Wolverines are bearing down at the 100-win milestone this season. Graduate students Stevan Micic and Myles Amine entered the season with career records of 93-14 and 93-20, respectively, while sixth-year senior Logan Massa is 88-19 over his collegiate tenure. The most recent Michigan wrestler to reach the milestone was Adam Coon, who finished his career with a stellar 116-15 record, in 2018-19.
