
Wolverines to Resume Action with Flip For Chip Meet Against Nebraska

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 8-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team resumes action when it hosts Nebraska for its sixth annual Flip for Chip meet on Monday (Feb. 15) at 3 p.m. inside Crisler Center. The matchup will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
U-M returns to action for the first time since Jan. 22 after the State of Michigan Health Department ordered a two-week pause in activities for U-M athletics. The Wolverines returned to injury-prevention activities on Feb. 5 and were able to return to full-team practices Tuesday (Feb. 9).

Flip for Chip Meet
• Michigan will host Nebraska on Monday (Feb. 15) in its annual Flip for Chip meet.
• This season is the sixth annual Flip for Chip meet in which the Michigan women's gymnastics team honors the life of Chip Hills, father of former Michigan gymnast Cailee Hills.
• The Wolverines have a 5-0 record in Flip for Chip meets and have been inspired to some of their top scores each season. The best was a 197.825 against Southern Utah in 2017. Two wins have come over Michigan State in 2016 (197.225-195.425) and 2018 (197.250-194.950).
Series History with Nebraska
• Michigan leads, 31-21-1, in the all-time against the Cornhuskers, winning the last four meetings -- including a 197.075-196.900 victory in Lincoln a year ago.
• The Wolverines are 11-1-0 all-time in Ann Arbor against Nebraska with its only loss coming in the 2003 campaign.
A Look at the Cornhuskers
• Nebraska heads into Monday's meet with a 1-4 overall record and a 1-3 record in the Big Ten standings. The Cornhuskers' lone win of the season came at Penn State in the second week of the season.
• Nebraska scored a team-best 195.250 against Penn State and is averaging a 194.294 team score through five meets.
• Kynsee Roby is the only Cornhusker to rank in the top 20 in any event as she ranks 19th on the balance beam with an average score of 9.881 and a season-best 9.950.
Last Time Out
• Michigan topped No. 4 Minnesota, 195.850-195.000, in its first Big Ten meet of the season.
• Junior Natalie Wojcik took home the all-around title along with the uneven bars and balance beam crowns for the second time in as many outings.
• U-M scored its second straight 49.400 on the uneven bars to remain at the top of the national rankings in the event.
Wolverines in the Rankings
• Junior Natalie Wojcik leads the nation in the all-around with her 39.587 average, winning the title in both outings this season. Wojcik is tied for second on uneven bars (9.925) and is tied for third on balance beam (9.925).
• Sophomore Sierra Brooks joins Wojcik in the rankings, tied for ninth nationally on the uneven bars with a 9.900 average and tied for 13th on the vault (9.875).
• After competing in the all-around in week one, Gabby Wilson ranks 14th nationally with a score of 39.350 against Ohio State.
Wojcik Earns 10th Big Ten Gymnast of the Week Honor
• Junior Natalie Wojcik received her 10th career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor following her performance against No. 4 Minnesota.
• She took home the all-around title for the second straight week, scoring a 39.600, while also earning wins on the uneven bars (9.925) and beam (9.950).
