
Wolverine Trio Earns US Senior National Team Spots at Winter Cup Challenge

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- A trio of gymnasts with ties to the University of Michigan men's gymnastics team wrapped up competition at the USA Gymnastics-sanctioned Winter Cup Challenge on Sunday (Feb. 28) at the Indiana Convention Center, with all three qualifying for the U.S. senior national team over the course of the two-day competition.
Senior Cameron Bock and sophomore Paul Juda automatically qualified for the team after placing in the top-six in the all-around Friday (Feb. 26) on day one of competition, while alum Adrian de los Angeles was named to the roster on Sunday via the national team points system.
Bock marked a trio of top-five finishes over the two days, led by combined scores of  28.000 on pommel horse and a 28.000 on still rings to take third on both events and a 26.850 on parallel bars to tie for fourth. Juda finished tied for fourth with Bock (26.850) on bars, and de los Angeles tied for fourth (28.150) on floor and tied for third on vault (28.400).

The full Wolverine contingent will return to team competition on Saturday (March 6) at 1 p.m. when they play host to Iowa at Cliff Keen Arena.
