
Michigan Claims Eight WCGA Regular-Season All-America Citations

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Four members of the No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team combined for eight Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) regular-season All-America honors announced Thursday (March 25).
Student-athletes with the top eight National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season (with ties) for each event plus the all-around earned first team All-America honors. Second team All-America went to student-athletes ranked Nos. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS.
Junior Natalie Wojcik earned first team honors for the uneven bars, balance beam and all-around while garnering second team honors on the vault to double her career total to eight All-America citations. Wojcik is tied for fourth nationally on the beam with an NQS of 9.956, tied for sixth on both the uneven bars (9.944) and all-around (39.625), and ranks 12th on vault (9.925).
Sophomore Sierra Brooks also doubled her All-America citations and earned her first first-team honor, tying for fifth nationally on vault with an NQS of 9.950. Brooks added second team honors in the all-around with a 15th-place NQS of 39.531.
Junior Abby Heiskell earned her first All-America citation as she was named to the first team on the vault with an NQS of 9.944 to tie for seventh nationally, while freshman Naomi Morrison earned second team All-America honors on the vault, tying for 12th nationally with an NQS of 9.925.
Michigan will begin its NCAA postseason journey April 2-3 at the Morgantown Regional hosted by West Virginia.
