ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team will play its final regular-season contest Saturday (April 3) when it welcomes Rutgers to U-M Soccer Stadium for a 1 p.m. contest.
Prior to the game, the Wolverines will celebrate the careers of seniors Emma Cooper, Samantha DeVecchi, Faith Harper, Lauren Long and Hailey Neumann.
Wolverine Bites
• Michigan is 5-3-2 overall on the season after splitting last weekend with a 2-0 win over Illinois and closing out the weekend with a loss to Indiana.
• U-M is 15-1 since 2019 when senior Sarah Stratigakis records at least one point in a game. Stratigakis assisted on both goals this past weekend against Illinois, had an assist in the Wolverines loss at Penn State and scored a goal in Michigan's win at Maryland this season.
• The Wolverines rank second in the Big Ten in goals scored (22) and lead the conference with 165 shots with 78 being on goal.
• Nicki Hernandez and Sammi Woods have double-digit points this season. Hernandez has scored a team-best five goals with two assists for 12 points, while Woods has added four goals and three assists for 11 points.
• Michigan will honor the careers of its five seniors prior to Saturday's game. This year's senior class has helped the Wolverines to a 32-21-8 overall record and one of the best seasons in recent program history as the team made it to the Sweet 16 in the 2019 campaign.

U-M trails in the all-time series with Rutgers, but Michigan came up with a huge overtime victory in the 2019 season when it defeated the Scarlet Knights 2-1 in a Big Ten Tournament semifinal game. Rutgers is 6-1-1 overall this season with its one loss coming to Indiana in overtime. The Scarlet Knights are outscoring opponents 12-6 and averaging 7.4 shots per game with Amirah Ali recording a team-best 10 points behind five goals. Sam Kroeger and Sara Brocious both have three assists, and Meagan McClelland has 23 saves for a .793 save percentage.
