• Juda Named Big Ten Conference Gymnast of the Year (3/29/21)

College Gymnastics Association MVP -- Sophomore Paul Juda was named College Gymnastics Association (CGA) MVP, the association announced at its annual year-end banquet. Juda, the reigning Big Ten Gymnast of the Year, enters the upcoming NCAA Championships ranked No. 1 in the nation in the all-around (83.788) and high bar (14.050). He is second in the country on pommel horse (14.163) and parallel bars (14.300). Juda owns a top score of 14.950 on parallel bars as well as 14.550 on high bar to lead the country as well.
CGA Regional Coaches of the Year -- Head coach Kurt Golder, as well as assistant coaches Yuan Xiao and Jordan Gaarenstroom were named CGA Midwest Regional coaches of the year. The trio led U-M to a Big Ten regular-season and postseason championships, as well as an undefeated 13-0 record on the year.
CGA Regular-Season All-Americans (April 2)
Five Wolverines earned CGA regular-season All-America honors, led by Paul Juda with seven awards and Cameron Bock with four. The honors are based on three-score average and go to the top eight plus ties in each event and the all-around. Markus Shears (pommel horse), James Read (still rings) and Evgeny Siminiuc (parallel bars) picked up one honor each.

Cameron Bock (March 25)
Nissen-Emery Award Finalist -- Senior Cameron Bock is a finalist for the Nissen-Emery Award, presented annually to the nation's top senior collegiate gymnast by the College Gymnastics Association (CGA). Bock, a current member of the United States Senior National Team, won the all-around at the Winter Cup earlier this season and owns three Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors as well as a CGA National Gymnast of the Week honor. The 2019 Big Ten Gymnast of the Championships, he is a five-time NCAA/CGA All-American and owns 31 event titles in his Wolverine career. The Nissen-Emery winner will be announced prior to the NCAA Championships at Minnesota. Two Wolverines have taken home the honor: Justin Toman (2002) and Sam Mikulak (2014).

Big Ten, CGA National Gymnast of the Week -- Junior Paul Juda was named Big Ten and CGA National Gymnast of the Week for the second time on the season. Juda's all-around score of 86.350 was .200 off his nation-leading all-around score this season. He also scored a nation-leading 14.950 on parallel bars and added titles on floor exercise (14.650) and vault (14.700). With Cameron Bock winning the honor each of the last three weeks, a Michigan gymnast has now won the honor four weeks running. » Big Ten Release
Cameron Bock (March 15)
Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Cameron Bock was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for the third week in a row. In Michigan's win over No. 10 Minnesota (March 14), Bock won pommel horse with a 14.200, tied for the win on still rings (14.300), and took the event title on parallel bars with a 14.550. The honor is his third Gymnast of the Week plaudit of the year, as he previously shared the award on March 1 and March 8. » Big Ten Release
Cameron Bock (March 8)
Big Ten co-Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Cameron Bock was named Big Ten co-Gymnast of the Week for the second straight week. The senior co-captain earned a trio of event titles in U-M's win over Iowa (March 6), winning pommel horse (14.55), still rings (14.40) and parallel bars (14.40) and adding a 14.15 on vault. The honor is the sixth of his U-M career. He shared the award with Minnesota's Shane Wiskus. » Big Ten Release
Cameron Bock (March 1)
CGA Gymnast of the Week, Big Ten co-Gymnast of the Week -- Senior Cameron Bock was named Big Ten co-Gymnast of the Week and picked up the CGA National Gymnast of the Week honor following his all-around victory at the Winter Cup Challenge (Feb. 26-28) in Indianapolis, Ind. It is the fifth Big Ten weekly award of his career; he shared this week's honor with Minnesota's Shane Wiskus. Bock took the all-around title with a mark of 84.150. In the two-day competition for individual event titles, Bock placed third on pommel horse (28.000) and still rings (28.000) and tied for fourth on parallel bars (26.850). The all-around win was the first of USA Gymnastics senior career and secured him a spot on the United States Senior National Team. » Big Ten Release
Paul Juda (Feb. 22)
CGA Gymnast of the Week, Big Ten Gymnast of the Week -- Sophomore Paul Juda earned Gymnast of the Week honors from the CGA (national) and Big Ten (conference) following his four event titles and all-around victory in U-M's tri-meet win over No. 3 Nebraska and No. 7 Illinois on Sunday (Feb. 21). Juda won floor exercise (14.650), pommel horse (14.200), still rings (14.500) and parallel bars (14.100). He also took the all-around competition with a score of 85.600. » Big Ten Release
Big Ten Preseason Awards and Poll (Jan. 20)
Preseason All-Big Ten -- Senior Cameron Bock and freshman Evgeny Siminiuc were named Big Ten Gymnasts to Watch for the 2021 season. Bock, a mainstay in the U-M lineup and multiple time NCAA All-American, is coming off a pair of event wins in U-M's season-opening win over UIC on Sunday (Jan. 17). Siminiuc, ranked as the No. 3 recruit in the country by multiple outlets, made his U-M debut versus the Flames and participated on still rings (12.800) and parallel bars (13.050).
Big Ten Preseason Poll -- The University of Michigan men's gymnastics team was selected as the unanimous preseason No. 1 team, the conference announced Wednesday (Jan. 20). The poll: 1. Michigan, 2. Nebraska, 3. Illinois, 4. Penn State, 5. Ohio State, 6. Minnesota, 7. Iowa.
Michigan also was selected the Big Ten preseason favorite in 2020 and finished the season sitting atop the conference standings prior to the remainder of the season being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paul Juda (Jan. 20)
CGA Gymnast of the Week -- Paul Juda won five individual titles against Illinois-Chicago: floor exercise, vault, parallel bars, high bar and the all-around competition. He owns the top all-around score in the nation (86.550), and ranks No. 1 in the country on vault (14.650), parallel bars (14.700), and high bar (14.450). He is also No. 3 on floor exercise (14.300) and second on pommel horse (14.350).
