Hillmon Becomes First Wolverine to Earn WBCA All-America Recognition

University of Michigan women's basketball junior forward Naz Hillmon, the 2021 Big Ten Conference Player of the Year, is a strong candidate for multiple 2021 All-America honors. Follow along as various national organizations reveal their awards.
National/Regional Honors
• Women's Basketball Coaches Association: All-America (April 3). Hillmon was one of 10 players named to the WBCA Coaches' All-America Team, which is composed of the 10 best players in Division I regardless of position as chosen by the division's head coaches. • U.S. Basketball Writers Association: All-America first team (April 2). One of six players to make the first team (due to ties in the voting), Hillmon is the first Wolverine in program history to earn All-America honors from the USBWA. » USBWA Release
• Women's Basketball Coaches Association: Wade Trophy finalist (March 25). Hillmon is one of four finalists for the Wade Trophy, the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year award in college women's basketball. She is the first Wolverine to be a finalist for the award. » WBCA Story

• Ranks second in the conference in scoring and field goal percentage (.645)
• Scored a school-record 50 points with 16 rebounds at Ohio State (Jan. 21)
• Recorded the second 30-20 game in program history with 35 points and 22 rebounds against Nebraska (Jan. 7)
