ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan rowing team announced Wednesday (Nov. 30) the signing of four student-athletes to national letters of intent.
The signing class includes Zara Bongiorno, Autumn Crowe, Amy Newton and Madeson Scott. All four student-athletes will join the U-M program in fall 2023 as first-year students. The program plans to announce additional commitments that will help round out the Class of 2023 later in the spring.
"This is an outstanding class of future Wolverines," said head coach Mark Rothstein. "Each of Zara, Autumn, Amy and Madeson is a great fit with the University of Michigan Rowing team, and I am excited to have them join our program. Our staff also deserves credit for continuing to recognize and bring to Michigan the very best student-athletes and competitors. The Class of 2023 will be excellent contributors in the classroom, the Ann Arbor community, and on the water."
"As we continue to build Big Ten and NCAA championship-caliber teams, it is important that each year we bring to Michigan championship-caliber people. And we believe this group has not only championship-caliber rowers, and championship-caliber students, but championship-caliber people. We are very glad they are Wolverines."
