ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's gymnastics coach Bev Plocki announced today (Nov. 9) the signing of Haylen Zabrowski to a National Letter of Intent.
"We are so excited to welcome Haylen to the Wolverine family," said Plocki. "She will bring a high level of skill and consistency to the team. We also believe she has not finished developing and we cannot wait to watch her grow within our program."
"I chose Michigan because as soon as I stepped on campus I knew this is where I wanted to call home for four years," said Zabrowski. "When the team won their first national championship in 2021, I wanted to be part of something special like that and be able to contribute as much as possible to accomplish such an amazing feat. Not only is the program ranked in the top 10 in the nation but the academics are out of this world and will help me accomplish my post-gymnastics goals. I loved the coaches and everything the team and university stand for. I cannot wait to be a Wolverine."
Zabrowski was prepped at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and competes for American Twisters Gymnastics in Parkland, Fla. She is a two-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier and earned a 38.000 or better in the all-around multiple times in her career.Â
She is an AP Scholar, earned an AP Seminar and Research Certificate, while being on the All A Honor Roll in both her sophomore and junior year.
