ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 1-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team hits the road to Nebraska Saturday (Feb. 26) to close out its Big Ten Conference schedule. The meet is set for 2:30 p.m. CST, and will be featured on the Big Ten Network with Michigan alumnae Olivia Karas and John Roethlisberger on the call.
Wolverine Bites
• Michigan remains at No. 1 for the seventh straight week and ranks in the top 10 in all four events. U-M is the No. 1 team on the vault and floor, while ranking second on uneven bars and sixth on the balance beam. Week seven started the first week of National Qualifying Scores (NQS). This season went back to traditional rankings with the top-six scores of the season counting, three must be away meets, drop the high score and average the remaining five scores.
• After winning its session of the Big Five Meet at the Elevate the Stage event, Michigan captured the outright Big Ten regular-season crown for the seventh time in program history. Michigan has earned the title seven of the 10 years it has been awarded as the conference started it in the 2013 campaign. U-M last won the title in 2020, capping off its three straight titles from 2018-20. The Wolverines defeated No. 17 Iowa, No. 22 Ohio State, Illinois and Maryland with a score of 197.950 to capture the crown.
• The Michigan bars lineup was huge at the Big Five Meet, scoring a season-best 49.600 with five scores of 9.900 or better. Senior Abby Brenner and junior Gabby Wilson put up back-to-back 9.925s before Abby Heiskell and Sierra Brooks followed it up with a pair of 9.900s. Finally, senior Natalie Wojcik earned the uneven bars title, her fifth of the season, with a 9.950.
• Junior Gabby Wilson was named the Big Ten Specialist of the Week for the second time in her career and the first time of the 2022 season after her performance at the Big Five Meet. Wilson started off the meet with a 9.975 on the floor to earn her fifth-floor title of the 2022 season before going on to the vault and scoring her second 9.975 of the night, earning her a share of the title with teammate Reyna Guggino. Wilson capped off the day with a 9.925 on the uneven bars, placing second overall.

Michigan leads the all-time series 32-21-1
Michigan leads the all-time series with Nebraska and has not lost a meet to the Cornhuskers since the 2018 season on the road. Since 2018, U-M has won seven straight meetings with Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers finished second in their session of the Big Five Meet, falling to No. 10 Michigan State and defeating Minnesota, Penn State and Rutgers. Nebraska ranks in the top 25 on both the uneven bars and balance beam with a NQS of 48.904 to rank 23rd on the bars and 48.889 to rank 22nd on the balance beam. Individually, Emma Spence leads Nebraska in the all-around as she averages a score of 39.036
