Select swimmers from the University of Michigan swimming and diving program will race for season- and career-best times at the Michigan First Chance Meet on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 12-13) at Canham Natatorium. With two sessions each day, the meet takes place at 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 12), and 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 13). Admission is free.

First Chance Graduates
In three of the last four years, swimmers who have raced at First Chance have gone on to swim at the Big Ten Championships. In 2020, then-freshman Nadav Aaronson swam the 10th-best time in school history in the 100-yard backstroke (46.86) before going on to finish eighth at Big Tens.
In 2019, Mason Hunter swam the 100-yard breaststroke in 52.77 seconds and the 200-yard breaststroke in 1:55.19, then the eighth- and 10th-fastest times in school history, respectively. He went on to finish 11th in the 200-yard breaststroke and 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Big Ten Championships. AJ Bornstein also made the Big Ten Championships roster after going 1:56.69 in the 200-yard breaststroke at the First Chance meet.
