Foster, 4x400 Relay Team Headline Final Day at Two Road Competitions

The University of Michigan men's track and field team closed out its busiest road swing of the outdoor season on Saturday (April 16), competing on the third and final day at the Mt. SAC Relays and on the lone day of action at the Louisville Invitational.

4x400 Relay Closes out Weekend at Mt. SAC

WALNUT, Calif. -- Michigan closed out a successful three days at the Mt. SAC Relays with a solid showing in the invitational section of the 4x400-meter relay.
The quartet of Jacob Koerner, Dubem Amene, Lawrence Gilliam and Miles Brown combined to run 3:10.28 for 11th place overall.

Foster Paces Wolverines at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- All-American Nick Foster headlined the limited crew of Wolverines that represented the program at the Louisville Invitational on Saturday.
Foster opened his 2022 outdoor campaign with a 3:44.91 win at the 1,500-meter distance, edging out Michigan State's Andrew Nolan for the victory by less than a quarter of a second.
Newcomer Tianhao Wei also notched a win for the Wolverines, taking the triple jump with a best of 14.09m (46-2.75).
Thomas Shilgalis came close to the win at 800 meters with a 1:52.34 for second place.
