
16 Wolverines Named 2022 CGA All-America Scholar-Athletes

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Sixteen members of the University of Michigan men's gymnastics team were named 2022 CGA All-American Scholar-Athletes, it was announced Friday (Sept. 2).
High honors were awarded to Casey Cummings and David Willett for earning a GPA between 3.30-3.90, which also placed them on the All-America Scholar-Athlete first team. Other U-M gymnasts named to the first team for GPAs between 3.50-4.00 were Alan Gerdov, Paul Juda, Rithik Puri, Kyle Shuttle, Virgil Watkins, Lais Najjar, Colin Stenger, Javier Alfonso and Miles Miller. Wolverines named to the second team (3.00-3.49 GPA) were Crew Bold, Logan McKeown, Steven Lukasik, Markus Shears and Edward Yao.
In addition, Michigan compiled a 3.452 team GPA to earn a top-three honor in the CGA 2022 National Academic Team Champions rankings.
