
Wolverine Women to Close Regular Season with EMU Fall Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's cross country team will take part in its final meet of the regular season on Friday (Oct. 20) at 4 p.m. when they compete in the EMU Fall Classic at the Hudson Mills Metropark in nearby Dexter, Mich.
Notes:
• U-M will race at Hudson Mills Metropark for the second time this season after opening the 2023 campaign with the Michigan Open on Sept. 1.
• Eight Wolverines are set to take part in the EMU Fall Classic.
• Mara Longenecker will compete for the fourth time in 2023. Longenecker has finished 12th overall in two meets this season, most recently at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invite on Sept. 29.
• Gabbie Michael will race in the second 5K race of her career. In her cross country debut at the Michigan Open, she finished 15th overall with a time of 19:00.9.
• CC Jones is set to run for the Wolverines for the first time since Sept. 9 at the Badger Classic, where she registered a 6K time of 19:23 and finished 40th overall.
• Two Wolverines -- Alyna Lewis and Lucy Petee -- are set to make their season debuts on Friday.
• Following the EMU Fall Classic, U-M will travel to Madison, Wis., to battle the best in the conference at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships on Oct. 27.
