Penn Relays
Starting the day off on the track at Penn Relays, Arjun Jha, Riley Flemington, Cole Johnson and Nick Foster competed as a relay in the distance medley relay Championship of America. The race included some of the NCAA's best distance squads, creating tough competition for the Wolverines. In the final leg, Foster fought hard to make up time, with the group ultimately finishing in eighth place with a time of 9:43.88.
On the throwing field, Aiden Felty and Zane Forist competed in the shot put, with Felty earning a top-ten finish. Felty's best throw of the day was a 16.62 meter (54 feet, 6.5 inches) heave, landing him within inches of his nearest competitor. Forist finished 21st in the event, throwing the shot put 15.65 meters (51 feet, 4.25 inches).
Jim Green Invitational
In Kentucky, freshman Jake Wall had the best finish of the day for the Wolverines, taking second in the long jump. Wall's leap of 7.29 meters (23 feet, 11 inches) secured his position and left him less than an inch out of first place.
On the track, Michigan saw four sprinters take on the 200-meter dash. Dubem Amene and Jacob Koerner had top-ten finishes, taking seventh and ninth, respectively. Amene's time was 21.31 while Koerner clocked a 21.52. They were joined by Lawrence Gilliam and Jack Juds in the event. Gilliam took 16th in a time of 22.29 and Juds took 21st in 22.72.
