
Five Wolverines to Close 2026 Campaign at NCAA Outdoor Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team will close out its 2026 season Wednesday and Friday (June 10-12) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field in Eugene. The NCAA Championships will be broadcast live on the ESPN family of networks.
Notes
• Five Wolverines will represent U-M in three individual events: Camden Law and Miles Brown (800-meter run), Trent McFarland and Brendan Herger (1,500-meter run), and Quincy Isaac (long jump).
• Brown, Law and Isaac will make their NCAA Outdoor Championships debuts.
• Herger and McFarland will compete in the championships for the second straight year, finishing ninth (3:47.88) and 11th (3:47.94), respectively, in 2025. Herger finished 0.62 seconds behind winner Nathan Green of Washington and 0.15 seconds from a podium finish.
• At the NCAA East First Round, Isaac tied his personal-best mark of 7.89 meters (25 feet, 10.75 inches) to finish fifth overall.
• Brown set the program record in the 800-meter run to earn his championships berth, logging a time of 1:44.68 to finish second overall. The time is tied for No. 19 all-time on the NCAA performers list and makes him the first Wolverine to break 1:45.00. Law finished second in his heat (1:46.00) to advance to the championships.
• McFarland finished first overall in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:38.04, setting the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex facility record, while Herger finished third in his heat (3:42.87).
• Action at Hayward Field will begin on Wednesday (June 10) with the 1,500-meter run semifinals at 5:21 p.m. PT.
