ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's soccer team (0-1-2) opens its 2023 home schedule with a pair of matches at U-M Soccer Stadium. On Thursday (Aug. 31), the Wolverines will host Boston College (1-2-1) at 7 p.m. Eagles, followed by a contest against Cincinnati (on Sunday (Sept. 3) at 1 p.m. Both matchups will be streamed live on B1G+.

• Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Sparkowski earned the first clean sheet of her career Sunday (Aug. 24), making a pair of saves in a scoreless draw against Virginia. She enters the week averaging 3.67 saves per contest, a mark that ranks second in the Big Ten.
• Senior Sammi Woods is the Wolverines' active career-goal leader after scoring her 17th in U-M's draw with Pepperdine (Aug. 19). Classmate Kacey Lawrence is the only other Wolverine to join her in career double-digits (10 goals).
• With the scoreless draw against the Cavaliers, U-M improved to 8-8-2 against ranked opponents under head coach Jennifer Klein. The Wolverines are a perfect 5-0 in home openers under Klein, outscoring opponents 17-2 in the five contests.
• Klein has rotated the squad in the early season, with 14 different student-athletes starting matches. Holding midfielder junior Avery Kalitta leads the team in minutes played for field players with 261, followed by junior central defenders Avery Peters (258) and Tamia Tolbert (247).
• Michigan owns a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series against Boston College, winning 1-0 last season in Newton, Mass.
• The Wolverines are 2-1 against the Bearcats all-time, most recently emerging victorious in Cincinnati by a 2-1 scoreline on Sept. 12, 2021.
