ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 5-ranked University of Michigan women's tennis team finished play at the three-day Michigan Invitational with two rounds of doubles on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 14) at the Travis Pointe Country Club.
With the Varsity Tennis Center without power for another day, the tournament action again pivoted to the Travis Pointe Country Club. The teams played two rounds of doubles on the final day of action.
Michigan faced off against No. 20 Georgia Tech and No. 3 Georgia on the day, winning one match against each school. Kari Miller and Jaedan Brown picked up Michigan's win over Georgia Tech, with the freshman duo of Piper Charney and Reese Miller getting U-M's win over the Bulldogs.
Michigan opens up dual-match action next weekend, heading to Oklahoma for a pair of matches. First up for U-M is a Friday evening (Jan. 19) match against No. 6 Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. CST.
