ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team (2-1-1) will host St. Cloud State (3-0-0) in a pair of games this weekend at Yost Ice Arena. The teams face off on Friday (Oct. 18) and Saturday (Oct. 19) with puck drop for both games scheduled for 7 p.m. The series will also be streamed live on B1G+.

• Michigan is 2-1-1 on the season after earning a win and a tie last weekend at Arizona State. The Wolverines opened the season with a series split with Minnesota State.
• Freshman Michael Hage leads the team in scoring with three goals and three assists in four games. He has had a point in each game this season and is the nation's top rookie scorer. Second on the list is St. Cloud's Austin Burnevik with five points. Ten more Wolverines have one point or more.
• Garrett Schifsky has a team-high four goals and one assist for five points, while T.J. Hughes has three points on three helpers, and Tyler Duke has scored twice.
• Schifsky has scored two short-handed goals this season, both against Arizona State on Oct. 11. Last year, Dylan Duke scored two in a three-game span. The program record, also an NCAA record, is 10 in a season by John Madden in 1995-96. Madden holds the NCAA mark for career shorties with 23.
• U-M is third in the nation with 128 faceoffs won, a 54.7 win percentage. Mark Estapa leads the centers at 62.3 percent, followed by Hughes at 61.9 percent and Hage at 50 percent.
• Michigan has scored first in each of its games this season, with Tyler Duke, Jackson Hallum, William Whitelaw and Schifsky with first-goal markers.
• The Wolverines rank sixth in the nation in blocks with 54 over four games, averaging 13.5 per game. Dakoda Rhéaume-Mullen has the most blocks on the team with six.
• Logan Stein and Cameron Korpi have split both series in goal, with each earning a win. Korpi has a .929 save percentage and a 1.92 goals-against average, while Stein has an .898 save percentage and a 3.00 GAA; Stein allowed just one goal in Michigan's 4-1 win at Arizona State.
• Michigan is 3-0-1 against St. Cloud State in the all-time series. The teams first met in 2001, facing off in the NCAA West Regional -- a 4-3 U-M win. The teams met again the next year, also in the West Regional, and the Wolverines also won, this time 4-2. Last season, then-No. 14 ranked faced No. 17 St. Cloud on the road during Thanksgiving week and earned a 2-0 win and a 3-3 draw.
