
Wolverines to Host Scarlet Knights in Annual Pink Game

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team (7-14, 2-8 Big Ten) will wear special pink Jordan shoes and don special shooting shirts to support breast cancer awareness in its annual Pink Game against Rutgers on Saturday (Feb. 3) at Crisler Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.

• This is the first of two meetings between the Wolverines and the Scarlet Knights in the month of February. U-M plays a return game at Rutgers on Thursday, Feb. 29 at the RAC. U-M is 16-2 all-time against Rutgers.
• U-M is third in the Big Ten with 8.8 three-pointers per game. The Wolverines have had nine-plus long-range baskets in 13 games, with seven of 10-plus, including a season-high 13 at Oregon (Dec. 2) and against McNeese (Dec. 29).
• Terrance Williams II continues to pace U-M with 43 total long-range buckets. Those 43 triples surpassed his career total (38) compiled in his three prior seasons. Dug McDaniel is second with 38 three-pointers.
• Williams has taken over the Wolverines lead for free-throw shooting at 79.3 percent (46-for-58). He is just ahead of McDaniel, who is shooting 79.1 percent (53-for-67). Nimari Burnett has gone 8-for-8 over his last four games to boost his average to 75.5 percent (37-for-49).
• In addition to Burnett's free throws, over his last seven games, he has dished nearly half of his season assist total -- dishing 25 of 57 (3.6 apg) -- including a career-best six at Penn State (Jan. 7).
• McDaniel has led the Wolverines the entire season with his 17.2 points per game. With 17 double-figure games, as well as a team-best six 20-plus point games, including a career-best 33 (twice), he has boosted his average by 8.5 from his freshman season (8.6 ppg).
• In his last three road games (with McDaniel out due to his academic road suspension), Jaelin Llewellyn has averaged 14.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and shot 56.3 percent (9-for-16) from long range in 32.2 minutes per game. He posted 16 points at No. 2 Purdue (Jan. 23) and followed with a season-best 18 at Michigan State (Jan. 30). Conversely, backing up McDaniel in the last three home games, Llewellyn is averaging 2.3 points in 6.4 minutes per game.
• Olivier Nkamhoua averages a career-best 16.5 points and Michigan-leading and career-best 7.1 rebounds. In addition to those bests, he is third on U-M with 56 assists (2.7 apg), with 12 games of three-plus assists.
• With the shot clock winding down, Tarris Reed Jr. drained his first-ever three-pointer at Michigan State (Jan. 30). He is now 1-for-2 from long range for his career.
• Reed has grabbed eight-plus rebounds in three of his last five games, including his fourth of 10-plus with exactly 10 at No. 2 Purdue (Jan. 23).
