
U-M to Travel to Toledo for Elevate the Stage Event vs. Rutgers

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 11-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team will travel to Toledo, Ohio, to compete against Rutgers on Friday (Feb. 16). The meet is set to start at 7 p.m. at the Glass City Center as part of the Elevate the Stage event.
Notes
• The Wolverines head into week seven ranked 11th nationally, while ranking seventh on both the beam and the floor. Michigan also ranks inside the top 20 on the uneven bars and vault coming in at No. 11 and No. 16, respectively. Individually, Sierra Brooks ranks eighth nationally on the beam and ninth in the all-around and on the floor, while Carly Bauman ranks 18th on the uneven bars.
• Brooks captured the all-around title as well as a share of the vault and beam title at Minnesota. She scored a 39.675 in the all-around with a 9.900 on the vault and a 9.950 on the beam as she has won the all-around title in three straight meets and four total times this season. Brooks recorded her fourth meet with two or more title wins and in week six ranks eighth nationally on beam and ninth in both the all-around and on floor. Additionally, Brooks leads the conference in the all-around and is second on floor and beam, while ranking third on the uneven bars and 11th on the vault.
• Gabby Wilson won a share of the beam title at Minnesota, tying Brooks with a 9.950, while Naomi Morrison tied Brooks with a 9.900 on the vault for the title and Carly Bauman won the uneven bars title with a 9.950.
• Brooks broke the Michigan all-around record of 39.825 held by Natalie Wojcik, Elise Ray, Sarah Cain and Beth Wymer as she scored a 39.850 with her second perfect 10.0 on floor, a 9.975 on vault and beam and a 9.900 on uneven bars against Stanford.
• U-M wrapped up a five-part series, Michigan Made, which was an all-access look at the months leading up to the Wolverines' 2024 campaign. Weaving interviews with coaches and student-athletes with behind-the-scenes practice footage and a look at life outside the gym the five-episode series will give an unparalleled look into the historic program and those committed to continuing the winning legacy of Michigan Women's Gymnastics.
