Notes
• This is the lone match-up between Michigan and Northwestern in the regular season. U-M has won seven straight in the series and three straight at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Overall, U-M holds a 119-59 record against the Wildcats.
• Last time in Evanston (Feb. 2, 2023), Kobe Bufkin posted his first double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) while Hunter Dickinson added 19 points as Michigan claimed a 68-51 win at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Bufkin nearly had a triple-double adding eight assists. After falling behind by three points in the first minute of the second half, U-M went on a 12-0 run, six of which were scored by Joey Baker. The run eventually ballooned to 18-2, giving the Wolverines a double-digit lead they held for the remainder of the game.
• Michigan closes the regular season with three of its last five games on the road -- at Northwestern (Feb. 22; 13-1 at Welsh-Ryan), at Rutgers (Feb. 29; 11-3 at Jersey Mike's) and at Ohio State (March 3; 11-4 at Value City).
• U-M is fourth in the Big Ten with 8.2 three-point field goals, while Northwestern is third at 8.4 per game. Thirty-eight percent of the Wolverines' offense comes from long-range shooting, while the Wildcats sit at 37 percent.
• Tarris Reed Jr. reached 300 career rebounds after grabbing nine at Nebraska (Feb. 10). He has taken over the U-M lead with 7.2 per game, after hauling in 74 boards (9.3 rpg) over his last eight games. With two of his three of double-doubles during this stretch, he grabbed a career-best 15 against Rutgers (Feb. 3) and 11 more against Michigan State (Feb. 17) -- the fifth and sixth 10-plus games of the season.
• Leading U-M for a second straight season with 41 blocks, Reed has had 16 over his last six games (2.6 bpg). With 72 for his career, he has cracked into U-M's all-time top 20 (17th) and needs 28 to become the 12th to reach 100.
• Over his last three games, Nimari Burnett has averaged 11.3 points per game, while shooting 65.0 percent (13-for-20) from the field and 55.6 percent (5-for-9) from long range.
• Terrance Williams II, who has 19 double-figure games, has been averaging 12.4 points per game -- which has doubled his prior career best of 6.0 last season. He also adds a team-best 44 three-pointers.
• U-M Sixth Man Will Tschetter has consistently shot above 50-plus percent from long range the entire season. Currently, he sits at 55.6 percent (25-for-45). He is 6-for-12 over his last five games. A year ago he was just 5-for-20 (25 percent).
• Jaelin Llewellyn, who played in his 100th collegiate game against MSU, has tied his season best with four rebounds in two of his last four games.
