Notes
• The Wolverines head into week eight ranked 11th nationally, while ranking sixth on floor exercise and eighth on balance beam. Michigan also ranks inside the top-20 on uneven bars and vault, coming in at No. 11 and No. 16, respectively. Individually, Sierra Brooks ranks in the top 10 nationally on the floor (sixth), beam (ninth) and the all-around (ninth), while ranking 17th on bars. Gabby Wilson also ranks inside the top 25 as she is 16th on floor and 23rd in the all-around.
• Brooks captured her third straight Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor, and fourth this season, after Michigan's win against Rutgers last Friday (Feb. 16). She earned her fourth straight all-around title and her fifth of the season, and took home the vault title (9.975), the bars title (9.950) and finishing second on the floor (9.975) to Gabby Wilson -- who scored a perfect 10.0. The honor is the ninth of her career.
• Wilson earned the fourth career floor exercise perfect 10 against Rutgers after posting her third three weeks ago against Michigan State (Feb. 4). She anchored the rotation against MSU at Crisler Center and put together a thrilling performance to pace Michigan.
• With her all-around score of 39.850 against Stanford (Jan. 12) Brooks set the program record of 39.825 held by Natalie Wojcik, Elise Ray, Sarah Cain and Beth Wymer. Brooks set the new standard by scoring her second perfect 10 on floor, 9.975s on vault and beam and a 9.900 on uneven bars.
• U-M wrapped up a five-part series, Michigan Made, which is an all-access look at the months leading up to the Wolverines' 2024 campaign. Weaving interviews with coaches and student-athletes with behind-the-scenes practice footage and a look at life outside the gym, the five-episode series gives an unparalleled look into the historic program and those committed to continuing the winning legacy of Michigan Women's Gymnastics.
