Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Athletes to Watch List (March 12) -- Two standouts from the No. 9-ranked University of Michigan rowing team were named to the inaugural Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association's Athletes to Watch List ahead of the 2024 season, senior Zara Collisson and junior Katie Easton.
Both athletes earned preseason recognition from the sport's governing body as two of just 20 Division 1 rowers overall. They represent two of the four Big Ten athletes included on the list.
Collisson (first team) and Easton (second team) both earned Pocock/CRCA All-America status last spring, rowing in U-M's first eight. Collisson was also a finalist for the CRCA Athlete of the Year award.
Each was a first-team All-Big Ten honoree after helping the Wolverines to the 2023 team title. They went on to secure a gold medal for Australia at the 2023 U23 World Championships in the 4+.
The Wolverines are preparing for their first regatta of the spring season later this month, the Big Ten/ACC Challenge event in Columbus, Ohio. Racing will begin on the morning of Saturday, March 30. » CRCA Release
