Foster Advances to Mile Finals at NCAA Indoor Championships

BOSTON, Mass. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team opened up the NCAA Indoor Championships Friday (March 8), with Nick Foster leading the team's effort.
Foster was the first Wolverine to compete, running a 3:57.85 in the mile to finish sixth in his heat and advance to tomorrow's finals.
Dubem Amene ran 46.39 to finish in 12th place in the 400-meter dash while Tom Brady finished 16th in the 5,000-meter run (13:48.32).
The distance medley relay team of Trent McFarland, Amene, Miles Brown, and Foster closed the day, running 9:38.40 for a 12th-place finish.
Amene, Brady, and the DMR team all earned Second Team All-America honors.
The Maize and Blue will close out the indoor season with the second day of the NCAA Championships on Saturday, March 9, at 4 p.m. for the mile run.
