
Two Wolverines Post Top Program Times as U-M Competes Across Two Sites

ANN Arbor, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team competed at Kentucky and Wake Forest on Friday (April 19), with two Wolverines posting times to secure spots on the all-time performers list.
Wake Forest Invitational
Kepler Huntress saw a personal-best 1:50.62 in the 800-meter run open section to finish 24th and John O'Reilly finished 26th with a time of 1:50.82. In the 800-meter invite section, Miles Brown placed 12th (1:48.41) and Camden Law placed 16th (1:49.52).
In the 1,500-meter run open section, Ian Hill finished 16th and tied his personal best time of 3:46.94 while Michael Hancock finished 23rd with a personal best time of 3:47.49. In the 1,500-meter run invite section, Trent McFarland finished 14th with a personal best (3:40.93), Arjun Jha finished in 22nd place with a season-best (3:41.97), and Riley Flemington finished 24th with a personal best (3:42.06). McFarland's (6th) and Flemington (10th) both earned spots on the all-time top performers list with their efforts.
Peter Baracco ran a personal-best 14:15.50 in the 5,000-meter run open section to finish second. In the 5,000-meter invite section, Luke Venhuizen finished in ninth-place with a time of 13:58.21.
Jozef Meyers finished in fourth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal best of 8:47.73, nearly 18 seconds better than his previous personal best, while Jack Spamer finished in 18th place (9:00.11).
Jim Green Invitational
Dubem Amene took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.78, though his mark was not wind legal. Jacob Koerner finished in 14th place, tying his personal best of 21.49.
Jake Wall finished second in the long jump with a mark of 7.35m (24-1.5).
In the hammer throw invite section, Eli Winter threw for 64.74m (212-5) for a second place finish. Jake Steslicki threw for 53.03m (173-11) in the hammer throw open section, finishing 10th.
U-M will close out the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Kentucky on Saturday, April 19. The shot put will kick off field action at 11 a.m. while track action will begin at 12:50 p.m. with the 4x100-meter relay.
