
Wolverines to Host No. 15 Johns Hopkins for B1G Tournament Quarterfinal Contest

PARKING NOTICE: Due to women's tennis, men's and women's lacrosse and track and field on Saturday, please plan for heavy traffic and limited parking at the South Athletics Complex. Track and field fans are encouraged to park in the commuter lot (Maize Lot) on the south side, while fans for tennis and lacrosse are encouraged to park in the Brown lot.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 5-ranked University of Michigan women's lacrosse team (14-2) earned the No. 4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will host No. 5 seed and No. 15-ranked Johns Hopkins on Saturday (April 27) at 3:30 p.m. at U-M Lacrosse Stadium. The contest will be streamed live on B1G+.
The game will be the second of a Michigan lacrosse doubleheader as the men's lacrosse team will play at noon against Ohio State.
Notes
• U-M is 6-2 this season against ranked opponents and 2-2 against opponents ranked inside the top five.
• Michigan will make the program's sixth appearance in the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 4 seed. Last year, the Wolverines earned their first tournament victory with a win over Penn State in the quarterfinals, but eventually fell to Northwestern in the semifinals.
• As a defensive unit, Michigan continue to lead the nation with just 6.69 goals allowed per game and rank second with a .570 team save percentage. Junior goalie Erin O'Grady tops the nation in goals-against average (6.45) and save percentage (.589).
• Senior Maddie Burns set the Michigan career ground balls record against No. 1 Northwestern, picking up two to bring her career total to 101. Burns broke Anna Schueler's record of 100 set between 2014-17.
• A record seven Wolverines earned All-Big Ten honors on Wednesday (April 24). Burns was an unanimous first-team selection, while Kaylee Dyer, Erin O'Grady and Jill Smith all joined Burns on the first team. Sophomores Grace Callahan and Jordyn Harrison and senior Lily Montemarano notched second-team honors.
