
Michigan Finishes Time at Penn Relays, Honors Senior Class at Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team split between two sites on Saturday (April 27), competing at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa., and hosting the Len Paddock Open at U-M Track and Field Stadium. The Wolverines seniors and graduate students were honored following the home meet.
Penn Relays
The Wolverines ran two relay teams, the 4xMile and the 4x800. The 4xMile team of Riley Flemington (4:02.78), Arjun Jha (4:06.37), Trent McFarland (4:05.86), and Nick Foster (4:01.40) finished sixth with a time of 16:16.38.
The 4x800 team of John O'Reilly (1:53.21), Henry Johnson (1:49.35), Foster (1:48.58), and Miles Brown (1:50.84) also placed sixth with a time of 7:21.96.
Len Paddock Open
Jacob Koerner posted a personal best in the 200-meter dash, finishing fifth with a time of 20.99 seconds. With the mark, Koerner is tied for the eight-fastest Wolverine in program history.
In the hammer throw, Eli Winter finished fourth (62.16m/203 feet, 11 inches) and Jake Steslicki finished seventh (56.64m, 185-10).
Zane Forist earned a fourth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 16.79m (55-1). Forist also finished second in the discus throw with a personal best of 57.34m (188-1), the No. 3 mark in program history.
Jake Wall won the long jump with a mark of 7.57m (24-10) and Berachiah Ajala finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 14.80m (48-6.75), though neither mark was wind legal.
The Maize and Blue will hit the road to close out their regular season with the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana on May 3-4 in Bloomington.
