
U-M Set for Regular-Season Finale at Billy Hayes Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team will close out the regular season on the road, heading to Bloomington, Ind., for the Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday (May 3) at 2:30 p.m.
Notes
• Field events will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the hammer throw, while track action will start at 4 p.m. with the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries.
• The Wolverines are ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region by the USTFCCA for the sixth straight week. A pair of event squads remain ranked in the top 10, with the 1,500-meter run squad sitting at No. 7 and the 800-meter run squad both sitting at No. 8.
• The Maize and Blue split between two meets last weekend, sending the distance squad to the Penn Relays while the rest of the squad remained at home for the Len Paddock Open.
• In Philadelphia, Caleb Jarema earned a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 8:37.84. Jarema shaved nearly 15 seconds off his previous personal best and entered the program's top performers list at No. 7 in the event.
• At U-M Track and Field Stadium, Jacob Koerner finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 20.99 seconds. With the mark, Koerner is tied for the eight-fastest Wolverine in program history.
• Zane Forist finished second in the discus throw with a personal best of 57.34m (188 feet, 1 inch), the No. 3 mark in program history.
• In the 100-meter dash finals, Dante Bassham posted a time of 10.44 seconds to finish second. The mark is No. 8 in the program performers list.
