Cycling Olympic Updates: Woods Concludes Third Olympic Race

University of Michigan track and field alum Mike Woods made his third Olympic appearance on Saturday (Aug. 3), finishing 41st in the cycling road race.

Woods finished the race in 6:26:57, 7:23 behind leader Remco Evenepoel of Belgium, and led the Canadian contingent. Woods' fellow Canadian cyclist Derek Gee finished in 44th place. Valentin Madouas (6:20:45) and Christophe LaPorte (6:20:50), both of France, rounded out the podium finishers.

The road race has a total length of 273km, with both the starting and finish lines at the Trocadero.
