DEXTER, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's cross country team opened the 2024 season at home on Friday (Aug. 30), hosting the Michigan Open at the Hudson Mills Metropark.
The Wolverines raced against Detroit Mercy and saw two top-five finishes.
Junior Kyler McNatt posted the top finish for Michigan, finishing third with a time of 15:25.80. Anthony Hancock was the next Wolverine to cross the finish line, coming in fifth with a time of 15:27.3.
Ian Hill finished eighth (15:28.6), Nolan Clark finished ninth (15:29.7) and Jack Spamer (15.33.1) 10th to round out the top 10 finishers.
U-M will return to action on Friday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. CDT when they travel to Madison, Wis., for the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by Wisconsin.
