ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team battled No. 19-ranked Oregon State to a a 1-1 draw on Friday (Aug. 30) at U-M Soccer Stadium.
Michigan (2-0-1) held firm on defense despite being outshot 17-7 and conceding 12 corners. Beto Soto scored his first goal as a Wolverine with an assist from Bryce Blevins, his first of 2024. In goal, Isaiah Goldson earned his second start of the season, tallying a season-high five saves to help the Maize and Blue remain undefeated.

Oregon State continued to attack, but Michigan was able to keep the Beavers at bay to keep the game tied 1-1 after 45 minutes.
The second half saw the visitors maintain their offensive pressure with nine shots and several scoring chances. The backline of Will Baker, Matthew Fisher and Nolan Miller stood its ground to deliver a hard-fought draw against the No. 19 team in the nation.
