
U-M Dance Earns Program-Best Third-Place Finish at UDA Nationals

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of Michigan dance team earned a program-best third-place finish in Division IA Jazz at the United Dance Association Dance Team National Championship held Friday-Sunday (Jan. 17-19) at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Wolverines opened the weekend with the jazz preliminaries on Friday (Jan. 17), earning a spot in the semifinals after finishing third with a 93.1746 behind Ohio State (93.7778) and Rutgers (93.3492). The team advanced to the finals with another third-place finish in the semifinals with a score of 94.254.
U-M held on to the third-place spot with a finals score of 93.8095. Conference foes Minnesota (97.2857) and Ohio State (96.6825) took the top two spots for a Big Ten podium sweep.
The team also competed in the D1A Hip-Hop category, finishing 14th (85.4603). UNLV won that title with a score of 97.7619.
