Two-time Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week Sophie Homan has been on a tear in conference play, ranking second in save percentage (.853) and third in total saves (34). Her 0.83 goals-against average against Big Ten opponents is sixth-best since conference play began.
Elle Ervin's 12 points make her the highest-scoring Michigan sophomore since Sammi Woods totaled 14 points with five goals in 2021. She also leads U-M in shots (31) and shots on target (17).
The push for a Big Ten Tournament spot is on, with Michigan ranking ninth in the standings with eight league points. Five games remain on the 2025 slate, two of which are against opponents ahead of U-M in the standings -- Illinois (10 points) and Michigan State (12 points).
Michigan State heads to Ann Arbor undefeated since Sept. 12. The Spartans' offense ranks first in the conference with 32 goals and a +18 goal differential. They are led by Maryland transfer Kennedy Bell, who sits atop the conference with 22 points and nine goals on the campaign.
Michigan will stay at U-M Soccer Stadium for a match against Indiana on Sunday (Oct. 12) at 1 p.m. The penultimate home game will air live on Big Ten Network.
