ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's golf head coach Jan Dowling announced Wednesday (Nov. 12) the signing of three accomplished golfers -- Amanda Revuelta (Madrid, Spain), Guia Acutis (Milan, Italy) and Martha Kuwahara (Northbrook, Ill.) -- to Big Ten scholarship agreements. The trio will join the Wolverines for the 2026-27 season.
A member of the winning Spanish Team at the 2025 European Girls Team Championship, Revuelta (reh-BWEL-tah), brings a deep international résumé to Ann Arbor. She placed 31st in stroke play and advanced to the Round of 32 in match play at the 2025 British Girls Championship, finished fifth at the Spanish International Stroke Play, 19th at the ANNIKA Invitational Europe, 17th at the Trophée Esmond (French International U21) and 14th at the Spanish Women's Amateur Championship.
Acutis (Ah-KOO-tis) represented Italy at the 2025 European Girls Team Championship (team runner-up) and captured two national titles in 2025 -- the Italian Ladies International Championship and the Italian National Ladies Match Play Championship. Internationally, she placed ninth at the Junior Orange Bowl, 17th at the Spanish International Stroke Play, 17th at the Irish Women's Stroke Play, and seventh at the Italian Girls International Championship, while also representing Italy at the World Junior Girls Championship in 2024 and 2025.
While competing for Glenbrook North High School, Kuwahara (Koo-wah-hah-rah) helped lead the Spartans to three consecutive IHSA Class 2A state championships (2023–25). Individually, she captured the 2024 state title with a 136 (-5), finished as runner-up in 2025, and placed 13th as a sophomore in 2023.
Kuwahara brings consistent high finishes on the U.S. junior circuit, including runner-up showings at the 2025 AJGA Northwest Holding Junior Open and the 2025 Illinois State Junior Girls Championship. She competed in the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball and qualified for the 2026 U.S. Women's Four-Ball, while adding top results at the Women's Western Junior (T13, 2025) and Women's Western Junior Girls (T9, 2024). She was also the 2023 Drive, Chip and Putt National Champion.
With the addition of Revuelta, Acutis and Kuwahara, the Wolverines will look to blend another strong freshman class with their returning core next fall. Michigan will graduate senior twins Lauren Sung and Sydney Sung, as well as Mara Janess, following the 2025 season.
