
Wolverines Announce 16-Game 2026 Schedule, Will Host B1G Tournament

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's lacrosse head coach Hannah Nielsen announced Tuesday (Nov. 25) the program's 2026 schedule, featuring eight regular-season home games at U-M Lacrosse Stadium and hosting the Big Ten Tournament in April.
Michigan will start the season with five road contests, beginning with a preseason scrimmage at Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 24.
The Wolverines open the 2026 regular season at Notre Dame on Feb. 6 before traveling south to play Florida (Feb. 13) and USF (Feb. 15).
U-M concludes its road trip with a matchup against Boston College in a neutral-site contest at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., on Feb. 21 as part of the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational.
Michigan opens its home slate with three straight contests as U-M Lacrosse Stadium, starting with Yale (Feb. 28). The Maize and Blue have a pair of games against Central Michigan on Friday, March 6, and finish the weekend with Colorado on Sunday, March 8.
The Wolverines begin Big Ten Conference play on the road at USC (March 15) before traveling to State College for a contest against Penn State (March 22).
U-M will return home for three consecutive games, the first against Denver (March 26). The homestead closes with two Big Ten matchups against Oregon (March 29) and Ohio State (April 2).
Neilsen and her squad will conclude the regular season with four Big Ten opponents. Michigan will hit the road again, traveling to the Northeast for matchups against Rutgers (April 9) and Johns Hopkins (April 12), while hosting back-to-back contests against Maryland (April 16) and Northwestern (April 18).
The Wolverines will host the Big Ten Tournament, April 22-26, at U-M Lacrosse Stadium and will look to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season, with the first round starting May 8.
