
Michigan to Kick Off Homestand Against Central Michigan

• Women of Inspiration -- Honoring the history of women's basketball in the state of Michigan.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (6-1) will kick off a four-game homestand on Wednesday (Dec. 3), hosting Central Michigan (5-2) at Crisler Center at 7 p.m. It is Michigan's Women of Inspiration night, featuring the Michigan Spirits and highlighting the advancement in women's basketball in the state of Michigan over the years.
Notes
• No. 6 Michigan returns home for the first of four straight games at Crisler Center, hosting Central Michigan for the second consecutive season. It is the fourth time in the last six seasons that the teams are facing each other. Michigan has won four in a row against the Chippewas and leads the all-time series, 18-9.
• The NCAA released the first NET rankings of the 2025-26 season this week, with Michigan coming in at No. 5. U-M is one of nine Big Ten teams in the top 25.
• Michigan stayed at No. 6 in this week's Associated Press poll after a 1-0 week that featured a 102-53 win at Detroit Mercy (Nov. 26). It is the third straight week that Michigan has checked in at No. 6.
• Michigan's bench scored 47 points in its win over Detroit Mercy, led by a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double from Te'Yala Delfosse and 10 from McKenzie Mathurin. U-M is fourth nationally in bench points at 37.6 points per game.
• Michigan is back at Crisler for the first time since a 120-50 win over Binghamton on Nov. 18. U-M is 3-0 at Crisler this season, averaging 101.3 points per game on 57.6 percent shooting while allowing just 48.3 points per game on 34.6 percent shooting. The Wolverines are home for the next four games before heading to the Pacific Northwest after the holidays for games at Oregon (Dec. 29) and Washington (Jan. 1).
• Michigan scored 120 points against Binghamton (Nov. 18), the second-most points scored in program history and the most under 14th-year head coach Kim Barnes Arico. The Wolverines have topped the century mark three times and are averaging 92.7 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor. U-M is fifth nationally in scoring offense and 12th in field goal percentage.
• Brooke Quarles Daniels continues to be an integral part of Michigan's rotation, averaging 5.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.1 steals in 20.8 minutes per game. In the first start of her Michigan career in the win over Notre Dame (Nov. 15), she grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. In Michigan's win at Detroit Mercy (Nov. 26), she had 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal in 23 minutes.
• Michigan has four players scoring in double figures in sophomores Olivia Olson (16.7 ppg), Syla Swords (13.3 ppg), Mila Holloway (13.1 ppg) and Delfosse (11.9 ppg).
