Notes
• Michigan is heading to the Pacific Northwest for its West Coast swing this season, first taking on Oregon in Eugene for the first time. It is also Michigan's first game as a program in the state of Oregon. The Wolverines and Ducks are facing off for just the second time after not playing each other until Oregon joined the Big Ten.
• This road trip is the first time U-M is playing back-to-back road games this season. Michigan is officially 1-0 on the road this season, with the contest against No. 1 UConn in Uncasville, Conn., going down as a neutral-site game.
• Michigan is resuming Big Ten action with just one non-conference contest remaining against Vanderbilt next month. U-M is 1-0 after a 104-56 win over Purdue at Crisler Center on Dec. 7. The Wolverines are one of three Big Ten teams to reach the century mark in their opening game.
• Michigan stayed at No. 6 in this week's Associated Press poll after recording a 97-54 win over Oakland (Dec. 21). It is the sixth straight week that Michigan has checked in at No. 6 and ties the longest streak in the top 10 in program history. Michigan was in the top 10 for six straight weeks during the 2021-22 season. That streak started with the Jan. 17, 2022, poll and ran through the Feb. 21, 2022, poll.
• U-M has topped the 100-point mark four times this season after recording 104 points against Purdue in its Big Ten opener (Dec. 7). It was the second-most points Michigan has ever scored in a conference game. This is the first time in program history that U-M has had four 100-point games in a season after recording three during the 1996-97 and 2016-17 seasons. Michigan is averaging 92.5 points per game, good for first in the Big Ten and fifth nationally. Michigan's program record for scoring offense is 78.6 points per game, set during the 2015-16 season.
• Michigan has four players scoring in double figures in sophomores Olivia Olson (18.5 ppg), Syla Swords (14.1 ppg), Mila Holloway (12.9 ppg) and Te'Yala Delfosse (11.2 ppg).
• Michigan has been effective on the glass this season, holding a +14.0 margin by grabbing 44.1 rebounds and allowing just 30.1 per contest. The Wolverines rank first in the Big Ten and seventh nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 17.3. Michigan is rebounding nearly 50 percent of its misses on the offensive end, grabbing 47.1 percent of the boards available. U-M's .471 offensive rebound rate leads the Big Ten. U-M is 10-0 this season when winning the battle on the glass.
• In her second season in the maize and blue, Delfosse has upped her scoring by 7.8 points per game, good for the ninth-best improvement by a Big Ten player this season.
• Michigan will stay out west to ring in 2026 against Washington in Seattle on Jan. 1 at 3 p.m. PT.
