Notes
• After dropping a pair of games to end the month of January, Michigan is out to a 3-0 start in February. Over the last three games, Michigan has averaged 76.3 points per game on 48.2 percent shooting while allowing just 56.3 points per game on 32.8 percent shooting. All five of Michigan's starters are scoring in double figures over the last three games -- Syla Swords at 14.3 points per game, Olivia Olson at 13.3 ppg, Mila Holloway at 11.7 ppg, Greta Kampschroeder at 10.7 ppg and Jordan Hobbs at 10.7 ppg.
• With Michigan's win at No. 20 Michigan State (Feb. 9), head coach Kim Barnes Arico tied John Beilein as the winningest coach in Michigan Basketball history -- men's or women's. KBA and Beilein each have 278 victories, the most by a head coach on the sidelines in Ann Arbor. With one more win, she will stand alone as the winningest basketball coach in Michigan history.
• There are just nine freshmen across the Power Four conferences who have played at least 650 minutes this season, with Michigan's trio of freshman starters among them. Olson (714, 29.8 mpg), Swords (708, 30.8 mpg) and Holloway (676, 28.2 mpg) are playing heavy minutes for the Wolverines. There is only one other team in the top 35 of the NET playing a freshman this much -- Mikalya Blakes at Vanderbilt.
• Swords was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the third time after helping Michigan to a 2-0 week with a pair of road wins. She was also named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll, the first Wolverine to earn the honor this season. Swords recorded 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in a road win at Nebraska (Feb. 6). She followed that up with a game-high 19 points in Michigan's win at No. 20 Michigan State (Feb. 9). Against the Spartans, she also had five rebounds and six assists. For the week, Swords averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
• Indiana leads the all-time series 50-31 after the teams split a pair of meetings last season. Indiana won the regular-season game between the teams, with Michigan defeating the Hoosiers in the Big Ten Tournament.
• With five games remaining in the regular season for the Wolverines, they sit in seventh place in the current Big Ten standings with an 8-5 record. U-M has clinched a berth in the 2025 Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis after its win over the Spartans.
• Michigan has the weekend off before heading to Maryland for a Monday evening (Feb. 17) game against the Terrapins. The game is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
