
Wolverine Trio Sets Top-10 Times at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team opened the first of its two meets this week on Thursday (March 28) at the Raleigh Relays, setting three top-10 times on the program performers list.
Caleb Jarema was the top Michigan finisher of the day, placing eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:41.61.
In the 5,000-meter run, Nathan Lopez finished 37th with a time of 13:50.49 to come in at No. 9 on the program performers list. Freshman William Beardsley made his Maize and Blue debut, finishing 52nd (13:57.47). Ian Hill (14:01.46) and Heath McAllister (14:01.59) placed 71st and 73rd, respectively, while Nolan Clark finished 82nd with a time of 14:04.30 and Peter Baracco finished 89th with a time of 14:07.05. Hill and Baracco saw personal bests.
Luke Venhuizen posted the No. 6 time on the program performers list in the 10,000-meter run, finishing 27th with a time of 28:42.22. Owen MacKenzie also cracked the top 10 on the program performers list after placing 42nd with a time of 28:55.43.
Michigan will close the weekend at the Battle on the Bayou hosted by LSU on Friday and Saturday (March 28-29) at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
