
Michigan to Travel to Face No. 1 Oklahoma

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 17-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team (10-4) heads to No. 1 Oklahoma (13-1) on Friday (March 7) for a 7:30 p.m. CT meet at the Lloyd Noble Center. Fans can watch the meet live on SEC Network+.

• The Wolverines rank No. 17 nationally and are inside the top 20 on all four individual events: vault (18), uneven bars (15), beam (12), and floor (16). Graduate student Carly Bauman ranks inside the top 25 in all three of her events, sitting at No. 16 on floor, No. 20 on uneven bars, and No. 24 on beam.
• Bauman was named a nominee for the AAI Award, considered the Heisman Trophy of gymnastics and given annually to the nation's top senior women's gymnast. In the 33-year history of the award, four Michigan gymnasts have earned the honor: Sierra Brooks (2023), Natalie Wojcik (2022), Kylee Botterman (2011), and Beth Wymer (1995).
• Jahzara Ranger was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week after earning two 9.900s on vault and floor. The Coconut Creek, Fla., native won her first vault title of the season and the fifth title of her career at the Big Ten Quad Meet, while also tying for third on floor and sixth on beam.
• Kayli Boozer has emerged as a key contributor in her sophomore season, winning three beam titles, including a career-best 9.950 against Nebraska. The Texarkana, Texas, native also competes on floor for Michigan, scoring her first 9.900 against Ohio State to place second and matching it a week later against Nebraska. For the first time in her career, Boozer competed in the anchor spot on vault at the Big Ten Quad Meet and recorded a 9.850, the second-highest score for the Wolverines in the rotation.
• Freshman Peyton Davis tied career highs on both vault and floor at the Big Ten Quad Meet and made her first career appearance on beam as the anchor. Davis scored a 9.850 on floor and closed the evening with a 9.825 on vault for the Maize and Blue.
• Freshman Sophie Parenti has been the lead-off gymnast for Michigan on all three of her events this season. She continues to impress, tying a career-best 9.850 on floor while sticking both her uneven bars and beam landings at the Big Ten Quad Meet.
• Michigan scored a season-best 49.300 on vault and a season-high 49.400 on floor against UCLA. Jenna Mulligan paced the Wolverines on vault with a 9.950, while Ranger and Sophia Diaz both earned 9.850s in the first rotation. On floor, Bauman led U-M with a 9.925, while Ranger recorded a 9.900. Boozer rounded out the top three Wolverine scores with a 9.875.
• U-M will honor its seniors following the March 15 meet against Alabama. The Wolverines will recognize four graduate students: Bauman, Reyna Guggino, Asta Farrell, and Mulligan; one senior: Jacey Vore; and two senior student coaches: Ashley Lane and Abigael Vides.
• Fans will have two more chances to see the Wolverines in action at Crisler Center. Michigan will host one final regular-season meet against Alabama on Saturday (March 15) at 5:45 p.m., before welcoming fans for three sessions of the Big Ten Championships from March 21-22.
