ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Zane Forist of the University of Michigan men's track and field team will head to East Lansing, Mich., to compete in the Spartan Invitational on Friday (April 4) at Ralph Young Field. He will throw the discus at 5:45 p.m.

Notes

• In his last outing, Forist finished 12th in the shot put at the Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, La., with a heave of 17.26 meters (56 feet, 7.5 inches).

• Forist threw for 56.36m (184-11) in the discus at the USF Alumni Invitational, coming 1.02m from his personal best -- 55.61m (182-5) at the same event last season.

• After Forist competes in East Lansing, the Wolverines' next competition will be at the 44 Farms Team Invitational, Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, in College Station, Texas.
